Progressing In Time With Advance Yoga Poses

If yoga has been part of your regular routine, then sure enough it has given great effects geared towards your fitness. Maybe it is time to do some advance yoga poses. However, how would one determine if one is prepared to do this?

Serious injuries can be the result if you attempt this advancement without being strong or flexible enough. You must first try to do the easier advance yoga poses, if you see that you can do this easily then you can step up a notch without rushing. There is always the right time for them. For now you can try these advance yoga poses.

The Warrior I Pose

The Warrior I Pose is also known by the name Virabhadra’s Pose which leads to Warrior II Pose. This is of great help in strengthening the legs and opening up the chest shoulders. This usually starts from the Downward Facing Dog Pose. From this pose, bring the right food forward until it reaches your right hand. Through using the ball of your left foot, rotate it until it is turned at about 45 degree angle. Bend the knee until over the right foot. Push right hip back, while bringing the left hip forward. At this time, bring your arms from the sides going above the head until palms meet. Fix your gaze on your thumbs. Hold this pose. Repeat same pose on the other side.


Warrior II Pose

The Warrior II Pose is also in standing position. The pose is great increasing the strength of your arms, legs as it opens up chest and shoulders. This is also great in toning the abdomen. One must begin with the Warrior I Pose. Bring down the arms until they are midway and parallel to the floor. The right arm should be in front while the left extends at the back. Pull your abdomen in and ensure that the shoulders are directly above the hips. The head must be facing the right hand. The quadriceps ought to sustain the legs and the triceps the arms. Stay on this position. Repeat the pose on the reverse side.
